The challenge
A ceramic coating takes days, not hours. Customers hand over a vehicle they care about and then wait — and the only way to know how it is going is to text the studio and ask.
After delivery, the relationship depends on timely maintenance. Keeping client records, service dates and follow-ups organized by hand makes it easy for a reminder to slip, and every missed follow-up is a missed visit.
Atlas Detailing wanted customers to feel looked after throughout the service, and the team to have one clear place to manage clients and maintenance.
What we built
For customers: a private tracking page
- A private link for each customer — no app to install, no account to create
- The current stage, progress through every stage and an estimated completion date
- Photos and short notes from the team at each stage
- Vehicle details, service history and the next recommended maintenance
- Vehicle care guidance the studio writes and edits from the dashboard
- Light and Dark Mode, following the phone’s setting
For the team: a management dashboard
- Client profiles with vehicle, contact details and full service history
- One tap to complete a stage, add photos or leave a note for the customer
- Clients due for maintenance surfaced each week, with the reminder message prepared for WhatsApp or Messages
- A calendar and a monthly summary of coatings, maintenance and other services
- Nothing is sent automatically — the team reviews every message before it goes out

The details that make it trustworthy.
- Private by design
- Each tracking link is long, random and practically impossible to guess. The team can switch a link off or replace it at any time, and link previews in messaging apps show nothing personal.
- Built for the phone
- The link reaches customers by text message, so every screen was designed and tested on phones first — from small 320 px screens up to desktop.
- Accessible
- Text meets WCAG AA contrast in both Light and Dark Mode, forms have proper labels, and every screen is checked with automated accessibility audits.
- Two languages, one system
- Customers see the experience in English; the Atlas team works in Spanish.
Built with Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase (Postgres, authentication and storage) and Vercel.
Where it stands
Atlas Experience is built and deployed. The next step is a real-world pilot with the Atlas team and their customers. We have not published results because there are none to report yet — we will update this page with what we learn.
